Kindess Campaign
Kindess Campaign is an initiative where the people of the world have the opportunity to focus on what it means to be kind. The concept is simple, but the benefits are long lasting. Pick a time and celebrate kindness! What a great way to build self-esteem, hold up mutual respect and increase the awareness of positive acts in everyday behavior. |

Images are important. When kindness is as common as butterflies in a field of flowers on a summer day, there will be peace on earth. An everyday object takes on symbolism based upon life experience. A child’s hand and a butterfly are prevalent objects which share universal meaning in every culture. The outstretched hand is a token of both giving and receiving the gift, representing the life journey which calls us inward to deeper understanding, and sends us outward in the expression of service. The butterfly represents freedom, beauty, energy, and spontaneity as it dances in flight.

The “Butterfly Effect” is a famous phrase which illustrates a principle discovered in 1961 by Edward Lorenz. He demonstrated that the tiniest of variables have tremendous consequences. Something as seemingly insignificant as the flap of one butterfly, when magnified over time and space changes the entire weather pattern across the globe. Imagine then, what you are capable of doing when you choose to focus on kindness! |

It has been amazing to note that children have a direct link in their hearts and minds between kindness and other principles. The
T-shirts were designed as a sort of coloring page so the kids could choose the skin tone of the hand and decorate the butterfly however they wanted using permanent markers, fabric colors or paints. They’ve done that, plus used the entire shirt as their "billboard" to display different images commonly associated with peace and harmony.
